You were a very dear friend of mine whom I remember so fondly.  We shared many good times at numerous rough and tumble Sioux City Musketeer hockey games.  Thanks for some of the best times of my life.  RWB

Dennis W. "Bunny" James, 52, of Sioux City passed away Monday, Dec. 19, 2005, from a sudden heart attack.

Services will be 7 p.m. today at First Evangelical Free Church, 401 Ninth St., Sioux City, with the Rev. Kenneth A. Schmidt officiating. Visitation with the family will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff.

Dennis was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada, on Nov. 22, 1953, the son of William and Margaret James. He was a 1972 graduate of Central High School in Sioux City and attended Western Iowa Tech Community College.

On May 21, 1994, he married Annette Barrett in Sioux City. During the early 1990s, he worked at Dial America and later as a supervisor at Marion Medical Center's housekeeping department. He was currently employed at Karrer's Laundry Mat and Tanning Salon.

He enjoyed being with his sons and taking them to sporting events, especially hockey and baseball. He was a member of the Eagles Club, the Little League Baseball, the Jaycees and Siouxland Adult Hockey Association, where he served as president in 1972.

He is survived by his wife, Annette; three sons, Taylor James, Dustin Barrett and Timothy Barrett and his wife, Elizabeth; and three grandchildren, Emily, Ashley and Malynda.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
