Randy L. Lawson, 50, of Sioux City died unexpectedly Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at his residence.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Anderson-Perasso Funeral Home, with the Rev. Leo Kostizen of St. Paul's Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.

Randy was born Feb. 12, 1954, in Sioux City, the son of William M. and Caroline W. (Vandenbroek) Lawson. He was baptized at St. Paul's Lutheran Church and confirmed at Faith Lutheran Church. He attended St. Paul's Lutheran School and graduated from Central High School in 1972. He was a lifelong Sioux City resident.


He attended Central Assembly of God and the Friendship House.

Survivors include a son, Christopher Lawson and his fiancee, Courtney of Beltville, Md.; a daughter, Michelle Lawson of Trinity Bible College in Ellendale, N.D.; his parents, William and Caroline Lawson of Sioux City; his special friend, Susan Schroeder of Sioux City; two brothers, William N. Lawson of Sioux City and Timothy Lawson and his wife, Karen of Blair, Neb.; two sisters, Teri and her husband, Loren Dolezal of Homer, Neb., and Lori Sandman of Lawrence, Kan.; his best friend, Tim Caskey of Sioux City; seven nieces; nine nephews; and 11 great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cornelius and Louise Vandenbroek and Oscar and Matilda Lawson.

Pallbearers will be Tim and Bill Lawson, Loren Dolezal, Chris Lawson and Andy and Joe Sandman.
