In Memory of

Rick Dennler

Rick Dennler

It is with heavy heart that I have to inform everyone of the passing of a friend of mine.....Rick Dennler.  He will be remembered well by those of us who came from Hoover Jr. High as that was where his mother taught French and Spanish while we were there, too.  As of this time I do not have an obit for Rick but Patsy Carney Simoni sent a note to Rick Randal and he passed it on to me. It read as follows:

From Erynn Dennler  (Feb 7 at 12:02 AM)

"I am not able to put into words the agony in my heart.  On February 4th I lost the love of my life, my beloved husband Rick.  Thank you tremendously, our cherished family and friends, for holding my husband and I in your hearts and in your arms....Pleases continue to allow time for us to learn more about how and why this happened.  Our family is in shock as we grieve so deeply our beautiful sweet love, devoted husband, loving brother, beloved uncle, son, father and grandfather"

RIP Rick Dennler and God bless.

Rusty

I am in shock in reading of Rick's passing.  So saddened.  He was my neighbor, friend in Jr. High.  I remember well his mom, teaching Spanish.  A wonderful family.  I believe his dad was a coach.  Rick was a great kid who continued on to be a great man.  I understand he was "Our Top Gun",  flying in military service.  Since I have a son in the Army's flight school,  I especially watched Rick's career in aviation.  I never met his wife,  but can see in photos and Facebook comments,  he was a good man in all respects.   This earth's passing is heaven's gain. We will miss you, Rick.

Wow! This is the kind of news you really don't want to hear, I was looking forward to seeing him next year at the reunion.  It is what it is, he was truly one of the good guys; my condolences to the family.

Rick was a good friend. We shared a very strange sense of humor and texted each other fairly regularly. Erynn and Rick married here in Florida and were very much in love.  They had recently moved back to Tacoma for his work with Boeing.  He had a sudden death from a pulmonary embolus (large blood clot to the lung).  I think about him most days, especially when I play a song I was learning at the time of his death.  R.I.P. Rick.  I will bring you an egg some day....
