Debra was born in Sioux City, IA on August 13, 1954. She was the daughter of Chuck and Carol Miller. She graduated with the class of 1972 at Central High School in Sioux City. After school, she married Al Knight of Sioux City on April 21, 1972, and moved to Fort Benning, GA. After a few years, they returned to Sioux City once again.
